PGA Promoting 100th Championship With Bracket Show

The PGA of America will promote next month’s 100th PGA Championship with a new, one-hour TV show called “The 100th PGA Championship: The Ultimate Bracket” that features 16 championships held over the years with public voting to identify the best tournament. The show, hosted by Amanda Balionis, will air on Sunday from 2:00-3:00pm ET on CBS and includes 16 past PGA Championships matched in a bracket format. Each championship is seeded based upon voting by a panel of nearly 60 golf writers. The voting begins immediately following the show, and continues through Aug. 11, with the winning championship selection to be revealed during the final round of the upcoming PGA Championship to be held at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis. The show will feature interviews with golfers including Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Gary Player, Sergio Garcia, Davis Love III, Bob Tway and John Daly. The Ultimate Bracket show also includes CBS’ Jim Nantz, Gary McCord, Peter Kostis, Ian Baker-Finch and Luke Elvy, along with NBC’s David Feherty.
