Pistons Owner To Decide On Stan Van Gundy's Fate Next Week

Pistons Owner Tom Gores said that he "will decide on a path forward" on Stan Van Gundy after meeting next week with the team's President of Basketball Operations and coach. Gores "isn't leaning one way or another as Van Gundy nears the end of Year 4" of a five-year, $35M deal he signed in '14. But last night at Little Caesars Arena, he "made it clear that missing the playoffs three times out of four isn't acceptable." Gores: "We got to make some changes. I’m just not sure what they are and he’s been working the whole season so I need to hear from Stan" (DETROIT FREE PRESS, 4/10).
