TCU Goes In-House With New AD Donati, Replacing Del Conte

TCU today will name Jeremiah Donati its new AD, according to sources. Donati "first arrived at TCU" in '11 and has served since '13 as Associate Vice Chancellor and Associate AD/Development. He has "played an integral role in raising money for massive renovations to Amon G. Carter Stadium, Schollmaier Arena and Lupton Stadium." He is replacing Chris Del Conte, who over the weekend was named Texas' new AD (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 12/11).

Texas will introduce Del Conte today, and he will "win the press conference," as he is one of the few people who "have the innate ability to make others instantly comfortable." Del Conte now "can become the face of Texas athletics nationally, something the school has sorely lacked" (HOOKEM.com, 12/10).

Meanwhile, a source said that Cal Senior Associate AD & COO Chris Pezman is the "leading candidate to become" Houston's next AD. He is a "graduate and former football player" at UH. He has been in his present role at Cal for the "last four years" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 12/11).
