Chargers To Hold L.A. Ceremony; Kimmel "Swears In" Rivers, Bosa

The Chargers today will hold a ceremony at the Forum in Inglewood to celebrate the team's move to L.A., beginning at 12:00pm PT. Speakers will include Chargers Chair Dean Spanos, coach Anthony Lynn and QB Phillip Rivers, as well as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Rams Exec VP/Football Operations & COO Kevin Demoff and Inglewood Mayor James Butts (Chargers).

Meanwhile, during last night’s edition of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Rivers and Chargers DE Joey Bosa were “sworn in” to playing in L.A. by host Jimmy Kimmel as they recited an oath over a pair of yoga pants. After the two players entered to cheers from the audience, Kimmel said, "Are you excited about moving to L.A.?" Rivers: "I'm warming up to it. It's been 13 years in San Diego." Kimmel: "San Diego's real nice. Now you have to come (to L.A.) and everybody's weird." Bosa, who is from Florida, said, "Plenty of weird people in Miami, too" (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 1/17).
