Indiana Univ. Dedicating Newly Renovated Assembly Hall

Indiana Univ. today will dedicate Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, an 18-month renovation process that will reveal a new scoreboard, club seating, added fan amenities and the opening of the Mark Cuban Center for Sports Media & Technology. IU AD Fred Glass said the athletics department tried to maintain the arena’s “iconic feel” with the renovations, the first major improvements for a building that opened in '71. Among the upgrades are an HD videoboard, an atrium in the south lobby, new seating and 16 all-gender bathrooms.

See today's issue of THE DAILY for more on IU's arena project.
