"We’re good. Sometimes we all do, we all misspeak. We’re all good. And Jourdan’s good. We don’t have any player on our team that’s suspended for any reason right now, so we can move on" – Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh, on patching things up with ESPN's Ed Cunningham after the analyst on Saturday speculated that UM CB Jourdan Lewis was benched for disciplinary reasons (DETROITNEWS.com, 9/8).

"BBD, man. I’m boring by design. My goal in the press conference is to be informative to the fans, but at all costs try not to create questions for the locker room. That’s a mindset that I’ve had every time I walk to the podium" – Packers coach Mike McCarthy, on his personality during media sessions (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 9/9).

"Well, if the boss says that about you, it’s a good thing, I assume" – NBC Sports' Mike Tirico, on Mark Lazarus recently saying that Tirico is in position to take over play-by-play on "SNF" when Al Michaels decides to step away (USATODAY.com, 9/9).

"There are some people in this room who are what the Oakland A’s stand for and need to be here for a long time to give this clubhouse some stability and the fan base some stability. I think that’s fair to say" – A's C Stephen Vogt, on the team potentially giving multiyear deals to key contributors (S.F. CHRONICLE, 9/9).
