Power Of Attorneys: L.A. Hosts Sports Lawyers Association Conference

The Sports Lawyers Association will hold its 42nd annual conference in downtown L.A. beginning today. The three-day event will feature a variety of topics facing leagues, teams, athletes and sponsors, including the future of sports TV and the future of the NCAA. Other sessions will focus on legal issues surrounding DFS, e-sports, domestic violence, FIFA and other sports scandals.

The first ever Michael Weiner Sports Lawyers Association Award of Excellence, named for the late MLBPA Exec Dir, will be presented tomorrow. On Saturday, attorneys representing the four major team sports leagues and four major team sports players unions are scheduled to discuss legal issues facing their respective constituencies.
