Matt Mitrione, Sean Grande To Call Bellator's First Kickboxing Card

Bellator MMA today will name former NFLer Matt Mitrione and Celtics radio play-by-play broadcaster Sean Grande as the broadcast duo for its inaugural kickboxing event, taking place later this month. Mitrione, repped by Playbook Inc., is a current Bellator MMA heavyweight, and Grande, who has provided coverage for all Celtic radio broadcasts for the past 15 seasons, signed a multiyear deal with Bellator last July to serve as the lead play-by-play voice for Spike Sports’ MMA broadcasts.

The inaugural event will take place April 16 in Torino, Italy, and will be televised on Spike on April 22 at 11:00pm ET following Bellator 153. Bellator, owned by Viacom, announced the launch of its kickboxing entity in February. Bellator President Scott Coker and Spike TV Senior VP/Sports & Specials Jon Slusser will jointly announce the news this morning.
