Morning Buzz

Laugh Track....Tricky Situation

NBC’s Jimmy Fallon said of the NLCS, “You can tell New York’s got baseball fever because today in the subway, I saw a rat dragging some peanuts and cracker jacks.” Fallon added, “The Cubs have a chance at winning their first World Series in 107 years, which the movie ‘Back to the Future II’ actually predicted would happen in 2015. … It isn’t all that surprising since we also have hoverboards and Doc Brown is running for president.” The broadcast then displayed an image of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders closely resembling the Doc Brown character from the movie. Fallon said of Patriots QB Tom Brady disparaging Coca-Cola and Frosted Flakes in an interview: “Do not go trick-or-treating at Tom Brady’s house. It’s like, ‘You guys want some raisins and a toothbrush? … Why don’t you guys do some crunches?’” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 10/16).
