Eagles Debut New Player Introductions, Adding Cameras, Pyrotechnics

The Eagles yesterday unveiled new player introductions for their home opener against the Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field, replacing the team’s traditional entrance through a giant team helmet. Fans will now see players on the stadium video board – via three cameras positioned inside the player tunnel – as they exit the locker room and make their way toward the field, where six additional cameras capture the moment. The team completely revamped the area with murals, specialty paint and new lighting that is programmed in sequence with the stadium music. The Eagles also are the first NFL team to use a laser light curtain for their introductions, which is accompanied by timed pyrotechnics and co2 effects.

Players now enter the playing field in unison through two Eagle wings that are made of a metallic material along with signage that spells out the “Fly Eagles Fly” slogan. "The players wanted a space where they could be jacked up," said Eagles Senior VP/Marketing, Media & Communications Anne Gordon prior to the game. “We started there and went soup to nuts with every single thing. It certainly keeps up with Chip Kelly’s aesthetic as well. Fast, loud and moving quickly.”
