Cavaliers Owner Dan Gilbert today is expected to announce that his company Xenith will “start the production … of football helmets in southwest Detroit.” It is not known “how many jobs are being created” with the production facility (DETROIT FREE PRESS, 4/28).

Boston 2024 is lobbying the Secretary of State’s office to “keep Olympic documents secret and demanding city officials return ‘confidential’ records to the nonprofit’s executives to further keep them out of the public eye” (BOSTON HERALD, 4/28).

The NFLPA has filed an appeal of Cowboys DE Greg Hardy’s “10-game suspension handed down” by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, according to a source (DALLASNEWS.com, 4/27).

The Coyotes have signed a naming-rights deal for the outdoor terrace area at Gila River Arena with California-based Sage Beverages’ Wicked Tango Whiskey. Terms were not disclosed (Coyotes).
