ABC this year notched record sales of commercial time for Sunday’s Academy Awards show. A 30-second spot during the telecast reached an average of $1.95M, up 8% from last year. The price “could help the network rake in more” than $100M for commercial time during the three-hour show (L.A. TIMES, 2/19).
