Laugh Track....Work From Home

Radio host Dan Patrick appeared on CBS’ “Late Show” last night, with host David Letterman asking him about his DirecTV program. Letterman said, “Is it also a radio show?” Patrick said, “It’s a radio show on TV.” Letterman asked, “And it’s done from Bristol, Connecticut?” Patrick was quick to correct him and say, “No, it’s from Milford, Connecticut.” Letterman: “Near Bristol?” Patrick: “No.” Letterman: “Why is it done from Milford?” Patrick noted, “I live there.” Letterman: “Wow! Well, how do you get a deal like that?” Patrick added, “I’m very lucky.” Letterman said, “So they said, ‘We want you to do this show,’ and you said, ‘I'm not doing it unless I get to do it from my house.’” Patrick: “What? This show or my radio show?” (“Late Show,” CBS, 1/15).

Letterman said there was a pack of coyotes “running loose here in New York City” from the “Holland Tunnel from New Jersey or did they come over on the bridge. They got here from New Jersey.” Letterman said, “The police caught them yesterday on a playground basketball court, and tonight a couple of them are starting for the Knicks.” More Letterman: “The Academy Award nominations were announced. This is big-time for moviegoers and all of Hollywood. Meryl Streep once again was nominated. I thought she did a tremendous job as that Olympic wrestler” (“Late Show,” CBS, 1/15).
