Kim Jin-sun today quit as head of the ’18 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, “the second senior official to step down in recent weeks” (REUTERS, 7/20).

Officials from Boston, S.F. and Southern California this week “will arrive in Colorado Springs to make their pitches" to become the USOC’s bid city for the '24 Games (WASHINGTON TIMES, 7/20).

The Basketball HOF will debut a new event in Miami in ’15 that consists of a Kentucky-South Florida and Memphis-Ohio State men’s basketball doubleheader at AmericanAirlines Arena. ESPN is in “discussions to televise” the event (ESPN.com, 7/19).

The ACC has joined forces with USA Football to endorse the nonprofit's Heads Up Football program (ACC).

Brewers officials said that tonight's home game against the Reds "will go on as scheduled" despite a fire at the ballpark's Front Row Sports Grill. The blaze began at about 2:00am ET today but "was contained mainly" to the restaurant (AP, 7/16).
