Super Bowl Weather Update....

AccuWeather.com is calling for a low of 25 and a high of 35 for MetLife Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday, with "snow showers possible." The chance of snow is listed at 30%.

With the news that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will join Bruno Mars in the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show, several commentators noted that the first cold-weather outdoor Super Bowl will feature a band famous for playing in various stages on undress. The L.A. TIMES' Joe Flint: "Hopefully the band will wear more than socks when they perform." THEWIRE.com's Adam Chandler noted the band "has quite a history of performing without their clothes on."

With the 49ers, Broncos, Patriots and Seahawks advancing to the conference championships in the NFL playoffs, Newark STAR-LEDGER columnist Steve Politi writes, “There will be no forgettable mismatch, no team with questionable credentials, and no end of juicy storylines. … We cannot go wrong at MetLife Stadium on Feb. 2.” A headline on the front page of USA Today this morning reads, "TV executives are salivating over AFC’s legendary Brady vs. Manning rivalry, while NFC pits two evenly matched teams."
