"SportsCenter" Will Not Feature Ron Burgundy Appearance Tonight

ESPN has "decided to hold off" on featuring comedic actors Will Ferrell and David Koechner on "SportsCenter" in light of today's upcoming "announcement of the Jameis Winston sexual assault investigation results." The net had been "heavily promoting" the appearance, originally planned for the 6:00pm ET "SportsCenter," which was to feature the actors in character as Ron Burgundy and Champ Kind from "Anchorman 2" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 12/5). ESPN said that no decision has been made on whether the appearance will be rescheduled (THE DAILY).

Meanwhile, Ferrell is scheduled to appear as Burgundy today for a guest hosting stint on NBCSN's "The Dan Patrick Show" from 10:00am-noon ET (NBCSN).
