ESPN Looking To Bring Live Music Back To Winter X Games

ESPN is "seeking to bring live music back" to Aspen's Wagner Park during the Winter X Games, "as it did with raucous free concerts" during the '05 and '06 events. The Aspen City Council tonight will weigh in on the "special event permit application ESPN has filed with the city." The network and a Boulder production company are "planning to charge for tickets with VIP purchase options and run the shows" from 4:30pm-6:00pm MT. ESPN plans to sell 6,400 tickets to the shows at $30 for general admission and $150 for 200 premium tickets. Another 200 VIP tickets would be "reserved for sponsors" (ASPEN DAILY NEWS, 11/5).
