Rivera To Receive Commissioner's Historic Achievement Award

MLB Commissioner Bud Selig today will present recently retired Yankees P Mariano Rivera with the Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award prior to Game 2 of the World Series. Rivera is the 13th recipient of the award, joining Baseball HOFers Roberto Clemente, Tony Gwynn, Cal Ripken Jr., and Rickey Henderson; former players Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, and Ken Griffey Jr.; active player Ichiro Suzuki; Jackie Robinson’s widow, Rachel; and the '01 Mariners.
