Laugh Track....Rock Of Love

Sean “P Diddy” Combs appeared on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" last night to discuss his desire to become the first African-American owner in the NFL. Combs said, “I think there is a huge elephant in the room that most of the NFL players are African-American and all of the owners of the teams are not African-American. I do not want to get on the bad side of the owners, but I think it’s time. I think I’m the right man for the job. I can afford a team, let me in, let me get a seat at the table, let us get a seat at the table." Host Jimmy Kimmel asked, “Where would you like to have a team?” Combs replied, “My dream would be New York, but I don’t think they are going to sell any of those teams. But I would appeal to the commissioner, help us to diversify” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 10/23).

NBC’s Jay Leno: “In Texas, the father of a high school football player filed a bullying report after his son’s team lost a game 91-0. The father claimed the lopsided game wasn’t fair and was in fact not a football game, but a case of bullying. I hate to take sides here but that is pretty horrible. I mean think of the shame this child has to endure having a father who’s a complete moron. … Kanye West rented out AT&T Park in San Francisco to propose to Kim Kardashian. It’s nice to see someone using that park in October, finally. Well, it’s estimated that the ring Kanye gave Kim is worth $8 million dollars, making it one of the most expensive engagement rings Kim is ever going to get. I don’t think the next one is going to be that big. It is 15 karats, man, that’s huge. In fact, they are calling it the most oversized thing at AT&T Park since Barry Bonds’ head” ("The Tonight Show,” NBC, 10/23).

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel: “At a press conference yesterday the mayor of Boston, Mayor Thomas Menino, was talking about what everyone in Boston is talking about, the Red Sox playing in the World Series. I think he was a bit confused about what they are playing for.” A video was shown of Menino saying, “I’m going to be rooting hard to bring back the World Series cup to Boston.” Kimmel added, “Of course, there is no World Series cup. There’s a World Series trophy, there’s a World Series ring, the only World Series cup is in the pants of the players. … The Red Sox hosted the Cardinals in Game One of the World Series. Finally, a color coordinated World Series, I hate it when the teams clash, I really do. The Red Sox players are all wearing beards right now as a sign of team unity, I guess. Either that or they are really excited about the season finale of ‘Duck Dynasty’” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 10/24).
