EA Sports Unveils November Release Date For Return Of "NBA Live"

EA Sports said late yesterday it will release “NBA Live 14,” its attempt to reboot its troubled basketball simulation gaming franchise, on Nov. 19 for the new Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. The date represents the first firm scheduled retail release date for the “NBA Live” series in three years. Since shelving plans in September '10 to release “NBA Elite 11,” EA Sports has been on a tumultuous effort to rebuild its NBA game, a journey that also saw “NBA Live 13” get scrapped last year while still in development.

The Nov. 19 release of “NBA Live 14” is four days after Sony's PlayStation 4 is released, and three days before Microsoft's Xbox One hits stores.
