Celtics Expected To Announce WBZ-FM As New Radio Home

The Celtics as soon as today are expected to reveal their new radio home, and "all indications are" that it will be WBZ-FM. The station also has Bruins games, but any scheduling conflict is "easily resolved" as CBS Radio "owns four other stations in Boston" (BOSTON GLOBE, 9/13). There was a "significant amount of interest in broadcasting their games after it was announced earlier this summer that the C's and WEEI could not come to terms on a new contract." WEEI-FM had been the team's flagship station since '05 (NESN.com, 9/12).
