NBC's NFL Pregame Show Features Cameos From Other Networks

NBC’s hour-long Ravens-Broncos pregame show last night included taped cameo appearances from other NFL broadcast partners promoting their Week 1 schedules. CBS’ Phil Simms first appeared following a commercial break, saying, “We have a great slate of games. ... But the season starts tonight in Denver.” Fox’ Troy Aikman came on after the next commercial break and said, “My Fox Sports team will be in San Francisco for a clash between two of the NFC's heavyweights.”

ESPN’s Jon Gruden concluded the promotion by saying, “All of us at ESPN are thrilled to cap off kickoff weekend with the Monday night doubleheader.” While NFL Network’s Mike Mayock did not join the other analysts – the net’s schedule begins with Jets-Patriots in Week 2 – NBC did air an NFL Net promo during the pregame show ("FNIA: Kick-Off 2013," NBC, 9/5).
