CBS' "Late Show" Picks Up SBD Report For Top Ten On ESPN Viewers

CBS’ David Letterman picked up SBD’s report from Tuesday (thanks for the plug!) about ESPN’s Q2 viewership and made it the topic of his Top Ten list. Letterman: “ESPN, the entertainment sports network that revolutionized sports television, changed the culture of America, they have seven or eight channels, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. According to the SportsBusiness Daily, ESPN programming saw a 32% drop in viewers from a year ago. What happened? People love the ESPN! They sit there and they watch the 'SportsCenter' and they watch it several times, again and again. They got football, they got soccer, they got jai alai, they got horse racing." Letterman then presented the list of "Top Ten Lowest Rated ESPN Programs" (“Late Show,” CBS, 7/10).

10) "Mike and Mike in the Shower."
9) "Two and a Half Mets."
8) "Everybody Loves Talc."
7) "100 Greatest Grass Stains of 1972."
6) "Meet the Puck."
5) "World Series of Shuffling."
4) "How I Met Your Equipment Manager."
3) "Monday Night Tee-Ball."
2) "Ass-Slap Round-Up."
1) "The Joe Theismann Prostate Report."
