The Rafael Nadal-Novak Djokovic French Open semifinal match is underway, but there were some notable patches of empty seats when the match began shortly after 7:00am ET that drew some reaction on Twitter.

The N.Y. Times’ Christopher Clarey wrote, “We now have definitive proof that lunch trumps #tennis in France. Chatrier stands still not full at 1 pm, not even for Djokovic-Nadal.” Pro tennis player Anne Keothavong wrote, “Can't believe there are empty seats for the Djokovic - Nadal match. Everyone still at lunch?
