Flyers Raise Funds For The One Fund Boston During Bruins Game

The Flyers last night set "a record for highest 50/50 jackpot total during a game" against the Bruins. The total 50/50 jackpot was $85,595, surpassing the previous record of $67,840 set during a March 30 game. The proceeds from last night's raffle will benefit The One Fund Boston, "which helps people affected by the Boston bombings." In addition, the Flyers auctioned the jerseys worn by the team during the game and gave the proceeds to the charity (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 4/24).

Meanwhile, administrators of The One Fund Boston said that victims and families affected by the marathon bombings could see compensation "as early as June 30" from the fund, which has now topped $20M (BOSTON HERALD, 4/24).
