NHL, Just For Men Bring Back Beard-A-Thon Charitable Promotion
The Beard-A-Thon during the Stanley Cup Playoffs will be sponsored by Just For Men Mustache & Beard. Entering its fifth year, the Beard-A-Thon encourages NHL fans to join the players in the superstitious practice of growing "playoff beards," all while also raising money for charity. In the past four postseasons, more than $2M has been raised for charity. The Beard-A-Thon, which is managed by N.Y.-based marketing agency Cenergy, will be activated with on-air integration on the NBC Sports Network and NHL Network.
