The Meadowlands and Aqueduct racetracks have cancelled today's live racing "due to the expected heavy snow forecast for the area." The tracks will "remain open Friday for out-of-town race wagering" (NJ.com, 2/7). The forecast today for the N.Y. area is calling for 10-15 inches of snow.

Sources said that there is "still a chance" Duke's Mike Krzyzewski "will return for a third stint as U.S. Olympic men's basketball coach." Krzyzewski served as the team's head coach at the '08 Beijing Games and '12 London Games (AP, 2/7).

The NASCAR HOF today will unveil an exhibit honoring broadcaster Ken Squier and Motor Racing Network's Barney Hall. The pair will be the "first recipients of the Squier-Hall Award for NASCAR Media Excellence," which they will receive during tonight's induction ceremony for the HOF's '13 class (THATSRACIN.com, 2/7).
