Top Ten....Cancellation Notice

Friday night’s Top Ten list was “Upcoming Weekend Events That Probably Should Be Cancelled.” CBS’ David Letterman said, “There are those among us who feel that the New York City Marathon, maybe the support and attention given to that marathon, a massive worldwide and world-class event, should be postponed so that some of that effort can be directed to rescuing and restoring and putting life back in order for the millions of people who have been uprooted and decimated by the storm” (“Late Show,” CBS, 11/2).

10) “Con Edison’s ‘Bring Your Child to a Substation’ day.”
9) “’Women Named Sandy’ convention.”
8) “The ‘Global Warming is a Load of Crap’ rally.”
7) “10k Ahmadinejog.”
6) “Senior Citizen Ultimate Fighting Championship.”
5) “Bronx Zoo’s ‘Take Home a Chimp’ day.”
4) “18th annual Borough Park Running of the Rabbis.”
3) “Westminster Kennel Club rat show.”
2) “New York Knicks practice (Seriously, what’s the point?).”
1) “Sam Champion's fantasy weatherman camp.” (A picture of ABC weatherman Sam Champion was shown on-screen).
