MLB Promoting Start Of Postseason With Ads, Fan Cave Event

MLB and sponsor Scotts are promoting tonight's start of the newly formatted postseason with a launch event at the MLB Fan Cave. The event includes a musical performance by rock band The Script, an appearance by former MLBer Eric Davis and a donation by Scotts to Boys & Girls Club of America. As part of Scotts' year-long "Take the Field" activation, the event will feature a "green carpet" and on-site Scotts branding (MLB).

Meanwhile, three full-page MLB-themed ads run in USA Today this morning. MLB and ESPN each run ads congratulating Tigers 3B Miguel Cabrera on winning the Triple Crown. Another ad promotes postseason coverage on TBS and Fox, directing consumers to the Twitter hashtag #POSTSEASON (THE DAILY).
