Bloomberg Holding Inaugural Sports Business Summit In N.Y.

Bloomberg today will hold its first Sports Business Summit in N.Y., with the day-long conference in N.Y. expected to draw more than 200 people. Scheduled speakers and panelists include NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, NBA Commissioner David Stern, NASCAR Chair Brian France, MLS Commissioner Don Garber, NBC Sports Group Chair Mark Lazarus and IMG Sports & Entertainment President George Pyne, among many others.

The company yesterday also held an invitation-only luncheon in N.Y. for about 100 people featuring Heat G Dwyane Wade, where he discussed his new book, "A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball," in which he intimately chronicles his divorce and custody battle for his two sons. During the session, Wade spoke highly of Stern, with whom he famously battled during last year's labor negotiations. "He's done a tremendous job growing the game of basketball," Wade said.
