ESPN's Mike & Mike Critical Of Knicks, Dolan On CBS' "Late Show"

ESPN’s Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic appeared together on CBS’ “Late Show” last night, and much of the discussion centered on G Jeremy Lin leaving the Knicks to join the Rockets. Host David Letterman said Lin was a “storybook story” for the Knicks last season, and “all of a sudden people care about basketball” at MSG. Greenberg: “This is a team that spent $60 million on Eddy Curry, who ate his way out of the league … and this is where they decided to draw the line, around the one guy who actually made the Knicks likable for the first time in about 15 years." Greenberg said Knicks Owner James Dolan "let this get personal which … is the biggest mistake.” Greenberg added the Knicks are "a franchise that has every conceivable built-in advantage and hasn't won a championship in 40 years. They'd be better off if you owned it." Golic: "Get ready to continue to lose."

Letterman also teased the duo about their multiplatform presence on ESPN: “I see you guys everywhere, for God's sake. You're on the ESPN, you’re on the ESPN Radio and you're kind of like carrying the network, ESPN. Am I right about that?” Golic replied, “We're overexposed, is what we are.” Greenberg: “To be honest with you, I'm getting sick of us” (“Late Show,” CBS, 7/18).
