The Hawks reportedly have offered Danny Ferry their GM job and "are engaged in serious talks toward completing a deal." Ferry would replace Rick Sund, who had "been leaning toward retirement or taking on an advisory role" (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 6/24). 

Former Pacers CEO Donnie Walsh possibly could "return to the franchise in some capacity," according to sources (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 6/23).

The LPGA today is scheduled to announce that it has named Mike Nichols Chief Business Officer of the Symetra Tour – Road to the LPGA, effective July 2. Nichols since '06 has served as LPGA VP/Tournament Business Affairs (THE DAILY).

Sprint is running two full-page ads in this morning's USA Today touting the company's sponsorships with the NBA and NASCAR. The NBA ad features the background of a basketball court and the copy, "We're Proud To Have Been Part Of A Truly Legendary Season." The NASCAR ad features an image of the HTC smartphone and the header, "Unlimited Love For NASCAR" (THE DAILY).

Hublot is running a full-page ad in today's N.Y. Times featuring Heat F Dwyane Wade and congratulating him for winning the NBA Championship (THE DAILY).
