Dolphins, TV Station Join Forces To Buy Tickets, Avoid Blackout

The Dolphins' Sunday home game against the Redskins "will be televised locally, preserving a long streak of avoiding the blackout." As in the two previous home games, the "Dolphins and partners purchased the necessary tickets." WSVN-Fox "helped chip in for an undisclosed number of remaining tickets," which will be used for the military "and to reward season ticket and premium members" (South Florida SUN-SENTINEL, 11/11). The tickets bought by the team and WSVN are "believed to number close to 10,000" (PALM BEACH POST, 11/11).

The Buccaneers  announced on their Facebook page that the team "will pay Ticketmaster fees for its upcoming home games if fans buy tickets" by today's noon ET deadline for avoiding a blackout. The team's next two home games are Sunday against the Texans and Dec. 4 against the Panthers (TAMPABAY.com, 11/10).
