St. Petersburg City Council Today Discussing Use Agreement With Rays

The St. Petersburg City Council this morning will meet to discuss the city's use agreement with the Rays. The agenda of the meeting, set by St. Petersburg Mayor Bill Foster, "sets up three items to be discussed today: a history of Major League baseball in St. Petersburg; a review of the agreement; and a discussion of the city's efforts to work with the Rays and chamber groups to promote better attendance." The Rays had the second worst attendance in MLB (ST. PETERSBURG TIMES, 10/20).

The St. Petersburg City Council today will also "hold a public remembrance" for late IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon during today's meeting (ST. PETERSBURG TIMES, 10/19).
