Minneapolis-based Shock Doctor today announced that Vikings WR Percy Harvin has agreed to endorse its line of protective sports gear, including its line of mouthguards (Shock Doctor).

NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick is taping a "This is 'SportsCenter'" commercial for ESPN this week and is also "scheduled to throw out the first pitch" before tonight's Angels-Yankees game in N.Y. (Norfolk VIRGINIAN-PILOT, 8/10).

Netherlands-based Upper Deck Int’l is suing California-based Upper Deck Co. and Upper Deck Chair Richard McWilliam. The suit “centers on the business of selling" Yu-Gi-Oh cards. The complaint accuses McWilliam of “covering up accusations of counterfeiting that led the international company to spend ‘millions of dollars’ defending a lawsuit” (NCTIMES.com, 8/9).

Sports and entertainment lifestyle marketing agency Team Epic has been tapped by Panera Bread to assist in the development and execution of a college ambassador program for this fall at eight schools. Team Epic is a subsidiary of Aegis Media (Team Epic).
