Upcoming 2K Sports Game To Feature Historic NBA Teams

2K Sports today announced that its "NBA 2K12" video game will include an "NBA Greatest" mode featuring 15 historic teams and their best players, such as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Julius Erving. The game is scheduled for multiplatform release on Oct. 4 (2K Sports). Greg Miller, Exec Editor of gaming site IGN, "doesn't expect" the game to sell more than "NBA 2K11," "which 2K Sports said sold more than 5 million units." But he believes the new mode can help the game "stay relevant during the lockout" (AP, 8/3).
