LOCOG Begins Digital Ad Sales By Accepting Bids From Sponsors

LOCOG today kicked off the process of selling advertising on the '12 London Games official website and other digital properties, "as it anticipates millions of digital enquiries ahead of next year's games." London 2012 sponsors now can browse the spots available to bid on ahead of the sales of the spots in two weeks. LOCOG "would not divulge details of the website address of the auction," which for the time being is "only open to sponsors" such as McDonald's, adidas and Coca-Cola (MARKETINGMAGAZINE.co.uk, 6/27).
