Ticket Sales Slow For March Madness Games In Charlotte

UNC-Charlotte AD Judy Rose, whose school is the host of second- and third-round NCAA men's basketball tournament games at Time Warner Cable Arena, said she is "frustrated and disappointed" that tickets remain for games on Friday and Sunday. As of late Thursday, there were 2,917 tickets "left for the first two games Friday, 2,907 for the later two games and 2,645 seats remaining for Sunday." Organizers expected "a quick sellout once teams were assigned last Sunday." Duke, UNC, Tennessee and Georgia, schools with large fan bases "within easy driving distance," are playing in Charlotte (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/17).
