Mistake At Cowboys Stadium Leaves 400 Fans Without Super Bowl Seats

Several sections of temporary seating at Cowboys Stadium were not completed in time for Super Bowl XLV, and "400 fans were left without seats" for the game. The NFL found alternate seating for 850 of the 1,250 fans affected, and the 400 who were not able to be seated "were given a refund of triple face value – $2,400." The league "tried to placate those 400 fans, taking them inside the stadium to watch the game on monitors in the North Field Club." The game drew an attendance of 103,219, shy of the record of 103,985 set in Super Bowl XIV at the Rose Bowl (ESPNDALLAS.com, 2/6).

One of the fans affected, Steelers season-ticket holder Matthew Rush, said that the website SuperBowlsuit.com "has already been started and class action suit would soon follow" (FANHOUSE.com, 2/6).
