FC Cincinnati co-CEO JEFF BERDING on Friday had a "soccer field in Kenya named in his honor.” The Jeff Berding Soccer Field came from a "collaboration between administrators at Withrow High School and Boys Child Care Kenya," an organization that “promotes youth soccer in the country.” Boy Child Care Kenya founder ANDREW GUURU came to Withrow to present Berding the honor “as a surprise." Berding was “only expecting to have a meeting with his friend,” who has been visiting the U.S. last week. The field is in Nyandarua County near the capital city of Nairobi. Cincinnati Vice Mayor JAN-MICHELE KEARNEY was “on hand to help present the plaque” (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 4/7).

NAMES: Bulls-Pistons yesterday was the last game for Bulls official scorer BOB ROSENBERG, who has "held the job since Game 1 in 1966." The Bulls “paid tribute” to Rosenberg during a first-quarter time out (Chicago DAILY HERALD, 4/9)....Golden Knights LW WILLIAM CARRIER’s career-best 16th goal “gave a boost to some local charitable organizations."
