Rays to spend spring training at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex

The Rays have reached an agreement with Disney to host a portion of the team’s spring training at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. The club’s regular spring training home, Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, sustained significant damage from Hurricane Ian in September, forcing the Rays to temporarily relocate this spring. As part of the agreement, the Rays will work out at the Wide World of Sports Complex from Feb. 6 through March 1. The Rays will play most of their spring training home games at Tropicana Field; the only game they are currently planning to play at the Disney complex is their Feb. 28 game against the Pirates. Information about tickets will be released in January. The Wide World of Sports Complex was the spring training home of the Braves for two decades (1998-2019) and was a host site for the inaugural 2016 World Baseball Classic.
