Everton hires firm to aid in search for naming-rights partner for its new stadium

Premier League club Everton has named Elevate Sports Ventures to “help produce a global search for a stadium naming rights partner,” according to Adam Jones of LIVERPOOL ECHO. That is part of the sports and entertainment consultancy's work with Everton to “support the delivery of its commercial strategy for their new stadium.” The club is “over a year into the build” of their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, and are “still targeting being in place at their new home in the 2024/25 season.” In January 2020, USM “signed an ‘exclusive option’ for naming rights” on the stadium, but earlier this year, the club "suspended its ties with the company and numerous others associated to Alisher Usmanov as he faced sanctions for his close links to Vladimir Putin after Russia's invasion of Ukraine." Everton’s new home on Liverpool’s north docks is the “largest single site development under construction" in the U.K. (LIVERPOOL ECHO, 9/22).
