Cowboys Owner JERRY JONES has acknowledged that he had "recently undergone a minor medical procedure that prevented him from attending the NFL Combine in Indianapolis earlier this month." Jones, who spoke yesterday during a memorial service for longtime Cowboys Exec Assistant to the Owner, President & GM MARYLYN LOVE, said that he is "doing fine" (Ft. Worth STAR-TELEGRAM, 3/16).

NAMES: Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux announced that Clemson football coach DABO SWINNEY is a "new franchisee with the restaurant chain." The Louisiana-based company "will be opening up 15 units in the Carolinas as part of a new multi-restaurant development agreement." Swinney will be "instrumental in the opening" of the Clemson location. He will be a franchisee as part of the Pavilion Group and Carolina Eats that are "leading the Carolinas expansion." Carolina Eats Owner JASON SADOWSKI has brought in partners like Jaguars RB TRAVIS ETIENNE in other markets (Columbia STATE, 3/13)....The CheckIt4Andretti Charitable Foundation is ramping up efforts to promote early detection of colorectal cancer, having signed a new partnership with Northeast Digestive Health Center in Concord, N.C., that will provide colonoscopies free of charge to select low-income patients from a local free and charitable clinic that serves people who have no health insurance and limited access to health care (CheckIt4Andretti).
