Cincinnati releases fan transparency plan; ticket price increase expected

Univ. of Cincinnati athletics has released a “fan transparency plan” set to take action at the start of the '22-23 school year, according to Landon Bartlett of UC's student newspaper, THE NEWS RECORD. The plan notes “rises in single-game and season tickets for UC football, a new fan priority system and updates to ticketing for men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball.” Season-ticket holders are “likely to see a 7% to 20% increase in cost” -- the first price increase at Nippert Stadium since ‘15. These prices are aimed to “match pricing levels throughout the Big 12” and could “increase more in the future." Season-ticket prices for Nippert Stadium being “dependent on the home schedule” was expected ahead of the Big 12 move. For the ‘22-23 men’s basketball season, season tickets will “increase at a flat rate of $15 per season ticket.” The following year, there will be “another repricing and a new reseating” based on “priority points” at Fifth Third Arena (NEWSRECORD.org, 10/21).
