Dallas Cowboys Install 20 MatSing Antennas at AT&T Stadium

The Dallas Cowboys and AT&T have installed 20 MatSing high-capacity lens antennas to boost signal coverage inside the team’s home stadium seating bowl. ExteNet Systems, a communications infrastructure firm, led the installation at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

MatSing uses a proprietary artificial dielectric polymer that mimics the human eye’s capacity to refract light and applies it to network transmissions. MatSing has supplied the NFL with its antennas for the past five Super Bowls, as well as the NHL’s Amalie Arena, which hosted this summer’s Stanley Cup Final. MatSing’s technology was also used during last January’s presidential inauguration.

The AT&T Stadium installation will bolster AT&T 4G and 5G signal strength for fans inside the venue. A MatSing system was tested during the 2020 Cowboys season.

“With data demands of cell phones continuing to grow exponentially, driven by new apps and technology, our legacy DAS infrastructure could not keep up with those demands,” Cowboys CIO Matthew Messick said in a statement. “AT&T introduced us to MatSing’s antenna technology, and immediately knew their technology would give us the necessary capabilities with room to grow.”
