Binge Watching With SLG Impact's Shauna Griffiths

Griffiths' recipe for quarantine survival includes action-packed Westerns and personality-driven sports contentIGNACIO LINARES

This week, THE DAILY caught up with SLG Impact Founder & CEO SHAUNA GRIFFITHS, a '17 SBJ "Game Changers" honoree, to break down what she's been watching and listening to. Some responses have been edited for clarity and brevity.

  • When craving a dose of sports personality, "ATHLETES UNHEARD" by MALCOLM LEMMONS is a goodie featuring thought-provoking conversations with athletes on how mental health affects and is intertwined with money, politics, relationships and other controversial topics that aren’t regularly discussed throughout sports.
  • Action-packed quarantine survival has been a mainstay. I love a good cowboy-infused show or movie because I grew up spending a lot of time with my grandpa on his quarter horse farm. He was a modern-day cowboy, my best friend, and KEVIN COSTNER is his doppelganger in "YELLOWSTONE."
  • Because I am a proud cycling nerd, the "GCN SHOW," or the "GLOBAL CYCLING NETWORK SHOW," brings my type of hilarious and fun content. It's entertaining but also informative and has us tuning in and laughing daily at the tremendous British banter.
  • My first career move was with Nike for two different WNBA teams, so I absolutely love "FRONT AND CENTER WITH LISA AND CHINEY" because it reminds me how far the league and recognition of its players have come.
  • I'll admit: SLG Impact's content series, "REAL TALK," surely gets a lot of my attention these days. It’s our weekly content series hosted by SLG Impact consultant ALEXA BELCASTRO.
