Joe Gibbs Racing has re-signed both driver Denny Hamlin and key primary sponsor FedEx. Terms were not released, but a source said that FedEx will remain as the primary sponsor of the team’s No. 11 Toyota for the vast majority of the 36-race season. However, FedEx will not be the full-season sponsor, leaving a handful of primary slots for other partners to step up. Sources have said that JGR and Hamlin’s management team, ProSports Management, have pitched Domino’s on the idea of stepping up from endorsement partner of Hamlin’s to a full partner of the team. FedEx has been one of the biggest NASCAR team sponsors in the sport for years with a spend that is likely in the $15-20M range annually.

RPM, AIR FORCE RE-UP: Richard Petty Motorsports extended its partnership with the U.S. Air Force, which will be an associate partner of RPM for the entirety of the '21 NASCAR Cup Series. The Air Force also will serve as the primary partner of Erik Jones’ No. 43 Chevy in the NASCAR Cup Series races at Talladega Superspeedway on April 25 and at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sept. 18. The Air Force Recruiting Service will partner with RPM for the 13th consecutive season.

DEEPENING TIES: Digital financial platform MoneyLion will be featured as a primary partner at select NASCAR events in '21 on Brad Keselowski's No. 2 Ford and Austin Cindric's No. 22 Ford for Team Penske. Keselowski will race the No. 2 MoneyLion Ford Mustang in the Clash at Daytona on Feb. 9. The company will continue its #ClashCash promotion, which gives MoneyLion Racing Twitter followers an opportunity to win cash prizes and Team Penske-autographed items during each lap of the race on Feb. 9. MoneyLion also will be an associate sponsor throughout the season on Joey Logano's No. 22 Ford. MoneyLion first entered NASCAR in '18, serving as primary sponsor for Cindric in the Xfinity Series.
