Fila has extended its sponsorship of top-ranked tennis player Ashleigh Barty a week before the Queensland native begins play at the Australian Open. Fila, which has sponsored Barty since ‘16, is commemorating the re-signing with the creation of the “Barty Bundle,” an exclusive promotional offering. The bundle includes a custom-made Barty T-shirt and face mask, available to junior tennis players at various tennis academies in Australia and the U.S., as well as via Barty’s social media channels. The T-shirt and face mask will feature Barty’s new “AB” logo. Barty sat out most of last season following the WTA’s pandemic stoppage and has not played a tournament in 11 months. A rankings freeze helped her stay in the tour’s top spot.

KENIN LANDS NEW DEAL: Sofia Kenin, the winner of last year’s Australian Open, has signed a deal with Motorola. Kenin will sport the Motorola “batwing” logo on her uniform and warm up jacket for all matches and appearances, while using the Motorola razr phone. The company describes the agreement as Kenin's first major global brand deal since kicking off her pro career at age 16. Kenin is currently ranked No. 4 among WTA singles players and was named the '20 WTA Player of the Year.
