Builders Of Allegiant Stadium Deliver Final Community Benefits Report

The construction team of Mortenson I McCarthy, which built the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium, on Thursday delivered the final community benefits report for the project. The highlights include $297M awarded to 169 small business enterprise (SBE) firms, or 23%, which topped the Nevada State Legislature’s requirement of 15%. Another $86.4M was awarded to 42 women and minority-owned firms, while 80% of the 12,000-person workforce consisted of Nevada residents. Seventy percent of all companies that were awarded work were Nevada-based. There were also 1,076 apprentices involved with the project, working a total of more than 850,000 hours, experience on a major project that could help them land more jobs in the future. “We take pride in helping to create a more equitable playing field for our business and workforce partners. Authentic change is what we strive to create and the sustaining legacy we leave when the job is done,” said Mortenson VP & GM Logan Gerken.
