BS Degree: Sinclair, Bally's Unveil New Branding For RSN Stable

Sinclair and Bally’s have unveiled new names and logos for their 19 RSNs. The Bally Sports logos will replace the current Fox Sports logos at some point before the MLB season. The new logo incorporates the Bally name in red script. As part of the rebrand, Sinclair will shut down two part-time RSNs: FS Tennessee and FS Carolinas. Predators games will move to Bally Sports South; Hurricanes and Hornets games will move to Bally Sports Southeast. The rebrand also will affect RSNs in Cleveland and L.A. that have never carried the Fox Sports brand. SportsTime Ohio will become Bally Sports Great Lakes and Prime Ticket will become Bally Sports SoCal. Bally’s in November agreed to pay Sinclair a reported $85M over 10 years for the naming rights to the RSNs. Ever since Sinclair bought the RSNs from Disney in the summer of '19, its execs have made it clear that one way they plan to increase revenue is to pursue sports gambling-related services around live sports across its RSNs, Tennis Channel and Stadium. The Bally’s partnership is a step in that direction.
